Stake.com is for adults, and only where its operator allows your country. Gambling here is paid entertainment, paid for in cryptocurrency whose value can fall while your money sits in an account. Set a deposit limit before you start. If it stops being fun, call a local helpline (in the US that is 1-800-GAMBLER, in the UK 0808 8020 133) and walk away.
Fame is not the same as protection
Stake.com calls itself the world's largest online casino and sportsbook. That is a marketing line, and we cannot verify it. What we can say is that it is the crypto casino most people have heard of, thanks to heavy sponsorship and streamer promotion, and that the front page shows it.
The question the angle of this review asks is simple: is it safe enough to deposit with? The honest answer starts with the licence, not the lobby.
What a Curaçao licence is, and is not
The operator is Medium Rare N.V. Several third-party sources report it holds Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/1451/0918, dated 9 June 2025, replacing an older arrangement in which Stake was a sublicensee under master licence 8048/JAZ held by Antillephone N.V. We did not pull the register ourselves, so treat the number as reported, not confirmed.
Why does it matter? A UK Gambling Commission or a US state regulator can fine an operator, force refunds and hear complaints. Curaçao's regime was reformed recently, but its track record for resolving player disputes is shorter and weaker. If a withdrawal is frozen, your leverage is small.
There are warning signs in the public record too. A Curaçao court ruling dated 9 June 2025 (case CUR202403055) concerns a player suing Medium Rare over gambling losses. We do not know the outcome. SBC News carried a 25 June 2026 headline saying rival Entain criticised Stake for its Curaçao base, and Gambling Insider headlined a leak suggesting the licence was granted before ownership questions were resolved. We could not open either article in full, so we cite them as headlines, not as findings.
Where you cannot play
This is the biggest practical filter. Third-party reviews say Stake.com is blocked in the UK and the US, with about 50 countries listed as restricted in its terms of service. Stake.com's own terms are the authority, and lists differ between sites. American readers are pointed to a separate sweepstakes brand, Stake.us, which is a different product with different rules.
If your country is on the list, do not use a VPN. Beating a geo-block usually breaches the terms, and a site that learns of it can void your balance.
The lobby, in pictures
The casino page is organised around Stake Originals, the house-built games, followed by a large slot section.
